The European Women's Lobby (EWL) is the largest co-ordinating body of national and European non-governmental women's organisations in the European Union, with over 3000 member associations in the 15 Member States. The EWL's goal is to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and to serve as a link between political decision-makers and women's organisations at EU level. Gender Equality and Enlargement of the European Union EU support programmes for the candidate countries

The AMS is responible for implementing ESF programmes in Austria. 
Training of employees 
ESF and AMS support CET measures by means of the skills training promotion scheme. Entrepreneurs who organise training programmes for women or for employees over the age of 45, for instance, are reimbursed two thirds of the training expenses by the ESF and the AMS. One third must be borne by the companies themselves. 
Promoting women and older workers 
“This is a targeted measure promoting the skills training of women and older employees," stresses Mag. Herbert B?hm, board member of the Public Employment Service Austria. Until the year 2006, funds totalling ATS 2 bn (ˆ 145.3 mio) are available.
